 Artificial Intelligence for Afghan StudentsA three-day workshop organised by ICTP’s Physics Without Frontiers, with the support of the European Brain Research Institute, brought Machine Learning to Afghanistan. The workshop was held online with about 270 people registered for the event.  In Memoriam: Tony EzomeICTP was saddened to learn of the passing of Tony Ezome, a mathematics Regular Associate from 2018 to 2023 who worked closely with ICTP emeritus mathematician Fernando Villegas. Ezome was described by his colleagues at the African Network for Arithmetic Geometry and Applications, where he was a programme coordinator, as "one of the greatest and most dedicated scientists on his continent".
